Choco-Lava Cupcakes

Who doesn't love choco-lava cupcakes with the melting chocolate oozing out of the center.  One sunday evening The Batter House team decided to try out their latest product - Premixes. We loved the outcome.

Here is an easy to follow recipe for the same. Though the original recipe was for 1000 gms of premix, we made it for 250 gms of premix and the recipe worked great.


  1. Molten Chocolate Lava premix - 250 gms (Get it here)

  2. Chocolate - Dark Compound - 62.5 gms (Get it here)

  3. Butter - 87.5 gms

  4. Water - 112.5 ml

What else you will need:

  1. Laminated cupcake liners (which do not require metal tray) (Get it here) or alternatively Muffin Moulds (Get it here)


  1. Get all the ingredients ready. We recommend using a digital scale to measure them.

  2. Melt the butter and chocolate and mix them thoroughly

  3. In a separate container, mix the premix and water and mix them thoroughly.

  4. Mix both the batters in a mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes

  5. Pour small amounts in bake stable cups

  6. Bake at 200 degree Celsius for 10-12 minutes (ensure that the oven was pre-heated)

  7. Serve and Enjoy!

We made 18-20 cupcakes of the above size from 250gms premix.
